A simpler way to end movie Piracy
I have nothing but hate for the MPAA. Sueing people and making up figures that grossly inflate their losses from piracy is making MPAA one of the most hated groups out there. I however do not condone piracy.
When people watch a good movie then they love to talk about the movies. People blog about them on places like TheMovieBlog They make it the water cooler talk of the week, usually discussing new good movies is a huge deal with just about everyone.
I was watching Indiana Jones the other day and thought of a brilliant way to end movie piracy. Imagine your writing a blog or talking to someone about a movie. You Telling people how much it sucked and that’s why you never go to theaters because its a waste of money. No one agrees with you, in your office, in your blog. “The movie was great” is all you hear. What is everyone talking about, you just downloaded the movie and watched it last night. You just brush it off.
Later on you watch the movie on TV or DVD. You realize the move you saw was totally different. The actors were the same, the plot was kind of the same but what actually happened in the movie was very different the real movie you just watched was very different. What happend was you watched a fake. A fake released by the movie makers so you would lose faith in downloading.
Thats it, a simple way to end movie downloading and pirating is make them available, But not the original as it was intended but a horrible version. Now, I’m sure some people might still get an original copy once in a while, but people that rely on movie downloads would lose complete faith in it.
