Let me start by saying we get calls like this a lot.
I just got this computer packed back up ready get shipped back to the customer on Monday. Earlier this week one of our techs took a call from a woman crying. Her computer had crashed. She already took her computer to another repair company. Her hard drive was done for. The computer wouldn’t even recognize it. She didn’t care about the computer. What was important to her was what was on the hard drive. Pictures and videos of her grandchildren. She already paid another company to diagnose the problem for $89 but they would not recover any files for that price. She would have to pay them over $2,000 to get her files back, No one can afford that unless your rich.
Once in a while hard drive recovery takes a clean room. We’ve never needed a clean room to recover most files. The tech told the crying woman about our service. $59.95. If we couldn’t do it then she would consider it a total lose.
